I just recently bought a Wacom Intuos 3, actualy bought it today and soon to be shipped. And I was wondering if XSI supports it for vertext weight painting? I just started to get into XSI seriuosly and would like to know. I also bought the XSI production series DVDs. So if someone knows if XSI supports this please let me know.
Yes... but apparantly there are some bugs (that I haven't seen, but have seen mentioned) involved with using the wacom for scrubing the time line...

Thanks, when I get my wacom here I was test it out and report back.
Yep, works fine for vertex weight painting and colour painting and all that. I've never tried scrubbing the timeline though, and I havent worked out a way to do the mouse zoom (s+mmb) in with the pen yet. Might be able to assign one of those extra tablet buttons to it or something, I dont know.

yeah the intuous 3 has quick buttons, macros :) so you would just bind it to that

no problem here with 4.2 and wacom graphire 1,2, 3 or intuos 2. if you have a problem it might be with the opengl driver and not related to the wacom driver. install the latest cerfified driver from the softimage support page not from the nvidia site. 52.something worked fine 61.something did not.
my 2 cents
