View Full Version : Help...IK leg rigging issue...

the Kergan

I am rigging a character with IK and after the IK is put in place on the legs, I always end up with one leg that lifts properly and the other does funky things with the knee orientation.

if I lift the handle straight up using the handle on the base of the heel to move the foot up and bend the leg upwards, the knee on the opposite side always buckles in imediatly and is unruly to control. I have used pole vector contraints and handles to counter this which ends up making me fight with every next frame where I correct the knee position with adjusting the poll vector, but the next frame pops out of control making me have to nearly key that on every frame.

Is there a way to fix the opposite side so the knee wont be so unmanagable?

thanks...
