View Full Version : little problem using Fur in Maya

Hi there,
I hope this is the right forum to post my problem, I'm sorry if it's not :)

Well, the problem is, that i wanted to apply Fur on a Sphere where I extruded some faces. Thr Fur works fine, but only on the sections that belonged to the sphere before, not on the faces that where extruded, You can see what i mena in the picture below.

Any ideas what I can do to prevent this?

This is most likely an issue with not having proper UV's for your fur. Check the docs for details.

well, thanks. sound pretty reasonable. since i'm still a complete noob to maya i don't actually know how to get a proper UV, but i'll seee what i can do.
