What is Kids Week?
Kids week is an effort to get more kids interested in drawing.

This week we will post topics suitable and aimed to kids between 5 -13 years. The idea is that if you blokes know a kid who likes art, to encourage them to draw,
and post this week.

Also get them to give us their ideas for topics...

To keep things safe;

Kids should only post with the current account of an adult who has been posting with us for a while (parent or relative).

Otherwise it is business as usual...

I am sure we have great childrens book illustrators in our ranks.
Have fun. Post as usual, but remember your target audience.

We will try to post one of these topics once a day for your enjoyment.

These are the rules:
* Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
* RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
* They can be done on any medium.
* If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
* Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
* The topics will be posted every day between 10:00 - 12:00 am US EST.
* The artist also has to post total length of time it took (Thanks Clanger for the idea) and program used.
* Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
* Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
* The topics will be picked at random from the list on this thread
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
*You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them). NEW RULE!
* Ill post ANOTHER thread to quantify and track WHO has participated the most on these threads.

Good luck

-Roberto

Okay, this one requires explaining. Inspired by the song "Lord Anthony" by Belle & Sebastian, I was trying to show how much courage it takes to stand up to bullies (a SUPERHEROIC amount of courage)... I realize the corniness of this but kids who get bullied really do rock. EDIT: 1h pencil, 2h photoshop, mouse. Sorry, forgot to include.

About 2 hrs PS/Wacom. This will most likely be my last post for a couple of weeks. I'm having surgery to fix my thumb. Turns out to be "trigger thumb" - an inflammation of the main thumb ligament. Y'all keep posting and ...I'll be baaack!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :applause:
That's the best I ever heard....brilliant. Thank you! I let you know if I have one extra, but I gotta talk this through with my wife!

I was gonna mention that it's been again a long time that I got to do some 2d painting...felt rusty already. It's just too much fun! The weired thing is that making 3d pieces, animations or stills, requires to make many different things all very quickly (mostly). And after doing that for a while it really feels to me long and slow to make a 2d painting...gotta change that again! :wip:
