Hi, I know its silly question but... I must ask you guys ;)
I created rain with particles (streak , and multistreak for splashes) I want to render that rain in MR. I know its not rendering in software mode (MR). Do you guys have any ideas how to make a rain maybe some other way or how to "connect" software particles with MR ?
Using MR is for me very important.
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeaseee help me ;)

Best Regards for all who will help me :P

Pepe.

sorry I just found your thread, but just out of curiosity, how did you do it? I'm guessing switched to sw particle type, but thats my guess, also, show the animation

steffenoid - No, I doesn't switch particles to s/w ;) I rendered it with hardware render.
I render two diffrent scenes:
1. I made a black color for everything that is on my scene except particles (they are white ;) ) Next I've render that kind of black/white still using hardware render (to make a particles visible)
2. I render the same scene but with a color, textures, etc... (Mental Ray) (of course without particles :P )

And than mix that two scenes in photoshop and finito ! :)

yashu - I'm using Maya 6.0 Unlimited ;) But I don't know how to do it. If you could tell me how to render that kind of particles (streak) in MR.

Thanks to reply

Sorry for my english ;)

Regards, Pepe.
