View Full Version : New Production Maxscripts online 280+
phormis 01-28-2005, 11:32 PM I just wanted announce that I have posted my production scripts online for public use.
www.time-in-motion.com (http://www.time-in-motion.com)
Some of them are pipeline naming convention dependent but all you will need to do is tweak them for your naming convention.
I will be posing a tutorial explaining how my naming convention works. It was developed at Blur studio originally, but I have tweaked and simplified it.
Any bugs will be addressed on the same day, so if you find ANY problem I will fix them asap.

phenomenal reel, really liked it, but the video compression is not so great, maybe you should use quicktime.

Thanks guys,
I hope they come in handy. I plan on adding more scripts every week (if not every other day). I already have four more I need to add but I need to get the pipeline tutorial up asap since some of my scripts are somewhat pipeline dependant.
As far as my reel goes, thanks for the kind words. I have been lucky to be able to rig for such great modelers and animators (Blizzard and Blur).
As far as the compression goes, my site is actually hosted on free web space provided by my ISP and I only have 20mb. I have three flavors of Quicktime that are MUCH higher. 15, 30 and 90mb. They look great but I only have 20mb to work with. I also have an issue with them since I can't seem to get any thing bigger than 12mb without the server hiccuping during upload. I think I need to move the site to a real hosted server soon (tomorrow). This way I can get a better version of my reel as well as a bunch of time lapse videos I want to put online. I also plan on putting a lot of tutorials up.
Thanks again for checing out the scripts and reel. I'll be around the forums a lot now since I have the time. Blur kept me VERY busy, for two years I did almost all of the rigs that came through the studio, and you know how much work they do.

It turns out I am going to need more than 20mb for my site already so I went ahead and put my site on a real server (vs. using my free space from my ISP).
The first thing I did was put my reel up in quicktime format, and since I do not have the space restrictions I was able to put up a much better quality version.
Thanks for the feedback BTW.
Look forward to seeing some tutorials soon. The first two I am going to do it a Pipeline naming tutorial. Then I am going to do a tutorial on how to use ClothFX for high res cloth among other things (like Chains).

I have had to take the scripts offline TEMPORARILY. As soon as I can put them back up I will and I'll post that they are back.
And thanks for the comments on the reel. It means a lot. I was very fortunate to work at companies like Blizzrd and blur. They both do some amazing work.
