Hey all! First post! YAY!
Anyhow...If someone could help me out with this I would eternally grateful!
A couple years back when Maya 5.0 was released I came across a file called "NINO.MA" that had a squash/strech rig built by Olivier Georges. The file was included with Maya 5, I believe as an example. It's amazing to say the least, but slightly out of my maya rigging knowledge. I'm close, but when I start seeing utility nodes, I get queezy as I'm an animator at heart. I found him as a member on the forums, wrote him a small message, waiting/hoping for a reply.
In the meantime, I was wondering if anyone had seen this rig, and if so, knew what was going on inside it. I'm DESPERATE to learn these techniques, and my next step will probably be bugging/annoying one of the big guys for help. :) Like I said, it's just barely out of my rigging knowledge so I'm unable to reverse-engineer.
There's a huge "THANK YOU" and a "YOU ROCK" for anyone that can help me out, or point me in the right direction for a tutorial... Note, I've seen/used/learned most of the stretchy spines around, and this rig is not quite the same.
I can easily throw the file up on some public webspace if someone wants to check it out :)
thanks-a-bunch!
