Is there a way where I can run Fusion's plugins with/inside After Effects? I saw that After Effects plugins can be runned with Fusion with a plugin.

Thanks

Hi Pretorian,

AFAIK, this can't be done. Although many Fusion plugins have AE versions (or perhaps many AE plugins have Fusion versions... whichever you like) ;)

Thanks for answering!

Well, my question was a little strange and that sounds strange for me because if that hapends, why people will do the same plugin for diferent apps, like for After Effects, for Fusion, for Combustion, etc... Right?

My question began becasue Fusion has a "AE Plug-in Adapter", wich says "The AE plugin adapter allows full functionality with most AE plug-ins". So, I thought it might be something that could do the same, but in "reverse", you know?

Thanks

No such luck. Hopefully with OpenFX this will all be a thing of the past ;)

Pretorian, I am not sure why you would want to go down the route of a Fusion plugin for use in AE?
Most AE plugins work in Fusion - but the best thing is they actually work better in Fusion b/c most of the controls are animatable!!! You cant get better than that.

Go Fusion

Yeah, I understand you but the point is that I will have to change to Fusion, like you said. But I use After Effects and Combustion and most places I know works with them. I would like to try and see how Fusion's works, but I don't know if this will be the best for me, in terms of jobs, etc... As I saw (I can be wrong), seems Fusion is for a more high-end production?

EricD: can you give me more details on OpenFX?

Thanks

OpenFX is an open standard for plugins. It will allow plugins to work on any application that supports OpenFX (Fu5 being one of them). This will eliminate the need for plugin developers to port plugins to different applications. One plugin to rule them all ;)

See here http://openfx.sourceforge.net/
