-i am trying to learn to model well
-my goal is low poly, but performing models... like game models i guess

-anyways, this is todays effort.

-also... could someone explain the mystery or tri or quad? when do you use which? i see a lot of people use triangles on knees and elbows.. are they good for bendy places?

hmm, thats pretty good, better then I can do! Im new at Maya also, I got the PLE version, which sucks since I cant really import any models. I want to model a women character for a friend for VC, but I dont know really how to do it so the joints dont crease or mess up. Good job so far! if it's for games,

try leaving the detail for texture mapping, if you're going to use bumpmaps that is. Then you just suggest the global volume with modelling. If your package is capable of normal mapping then I'd suggest building two models, one very high res with all the detail modelled and another one which will get the detail from the normal map.
