View Full Version : Getting-Up (VideoGame) Looks good
Hey guys, i stumbled upon this. I know its nothign "special" but i found the way the game was mixed together with what seems to be vector rendering mixed with non vector objects. The animation looks really good too, has a nice flow

Yup yup, I have heard a lot about this game, what a cool concept I must say. The models are a big dissapointing, but beyond that, the art is just crazy :)

That looks interesting. I wish I could get some backstory so I knew what it was actually about. Seems like the main focus is graffiti or painting or something. I wonder what the gimmick will be. I'll keep an eye out for this one.
PS: I don't have any speakers or anything like that right now, so if they tell anything interesting in the trailer, do share.

There's an interview on Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/marceckosgettingupcontentsunderpressure/preview_6116080.html) with Marc Ecko, the Executive Creative Director for the game. There's nothing concrete on the gameplay, but he does touch on it a little. Looks promising, I think.
As for the character models, I actually really liked their design. Environments look fantastic, as well. Check out the screenshots on Gamespot (looks like there are only 6 officially-released screenshots).

The texturing is great, has a real art feel to it. The last picture where the soldier has the main character on the floor, if you notice on his right leg, it almost looks like he is wearing a sandal! I'm sure it's a skin weight problem, but i still couldn't help myself. Overall the enviroments are the most impressive part of this game.
