Name: Maciej Kuciara

hello,

this picture was painted for fun, as personal project. basicly I wanted to perform a nice aircraft cocnept but I finished it as a scene. any comments and critiques would be cool here :)

Nice design - The scene could have been more dynamic, more to "discover" in the painting. Also the two guy's don't really help define the scale of the craft as you can't tell where they are in relation to it.

Overall though - good job!

I'm not really fond of these sci-fi images that portrays an unfriendly future that promotes war culture, however your work is quite unique in its technique and is one of best out there. What I liked most of this image is the dark area of the podium and the incredible reflections and transitions of shades and hues. I don't know how you do that, it's just stunning!!

best,

I love it dude. It reminds me of pre-production work that you see for films like starwars and other high budget sci-fi films. I wish I could paint like that.
Great job man. The character of the gaurds with the red lighting... Really really great job.

Great work. I agree with andrewley about the ship not having scale, but the figures look really cool. Perhaps some overlapping would help. The simplicity of this image is great and I love those small spaceships in the background. Great mood.

Really nice painting. I especially like your transitions in color. Very subtle and well controlled. Your Grand Space Opera entry looked great. This one would have served you well in that regard also. Excellent work.

The composition is really intence, a well chosen viewpoint a bit under the landing surface.

The pose of the "policemen" are also very well captured, a real sence of somethings going to happen. Maybe a VIP or a captured ciminal stepping out of the plane.

The craft has a really dymanic design. I wan't one :)

Keep it coming.

wow, really, this design is absolutely well-done! I love the shape and dynamic feel of the ship very much! You have a good sense for creating futuristic designs!

Also the chosen colors are a perfect match for this kind of pic...This piece has that certain thing that really makes it capture the viewer.

Nice details on the ship. Guess the guy on the left is from passport control :)

I really liked this piece. Very well done. Compositionally I would crop it more on the left as there is nothing for my eye to fix on there. And, this may be just me, but the guy on the right looks like the standing male pose for urinating. One the other hand, an effect was achieved with real subtelty. Well done!

very nice work. I'm new to digital illustration and i was wondering what your technique was for drawing the ship?

I think it is great. I also disagree with the post about the two figures. I think they do give a good sense of the size of the ship. It shows that this is not some crazy mother ship. To me it looks like a pod of some sort for transportation of 1 to 3 individuals. Looks like it's going mach 5 just sitting still. Great feel.

One thing though. The post with the pilons on it on the left side of the platform seems to have less detail then other elements. Was it an afterthought?

*reaches out to stroke the wispy clouds* I think the contrast between the soft blue sky and the sharp, menacing angles of everything else in the work is fantabulous. The policemen also add a sense of narrative to what could easily have been merely a ship-design piece. (I get the distinct feeling that, once disembarked, the crew of that ship is going to be engaged in a deadly game of laser tag if they don't cooperate...)

I think its a great piece, adding the very shadowing of the deck/podium really sets it off, unique angle that works well, even if we cant be sure of scale, a bit of mystery never hurt anyone (speculating, lol)

u got amazing skills dude , i could never be as good as u

i got one critic tho , those dudes seem like they have no arms , or the

i think that if you were to see the front of these guys, they'd be posing something like this (maybe with the gun lowered slighly more)
