Great sketch! Looks like they'll need some mighty power in their legs to leap that high...how about giving them some gadget that allows them to leap that high? :)

Heh! Yeah, thanks for changing that thread topic. I'm still not quite familiar with all the ins and outs of posting. Mostly because I don't pay attention! :) So I'm working on the arena right now. Hopefully I will have that done and posted by tonight. I'm working on it right now when I really shouldn't be...:wavey:

Nice sketch. Are they playing on the moon/mars? Or have they just been heavy on the steroids?

I haven't quite figured out the hows and whys of the game. (Which I still won't mention, regardless how obvious it is...) I have, however added these pinball-like bumpers to the court as you can see in this image. Oops... I just read that there aren't supposed to be any aliens. (See? I don't pay attention.) I can make them human easily, since I haven't started the characters yet. I wanted to start with the envirionment so I could at least feel good about getting started. Characters take a loooooong time. This will be my second attempt at posing characters, so I'm still not very fast with this process.

And... the character's legs... not sure why I started it with boots and chose to continue with naked legs... other than I do plan to model some kind of uniform similar to the ones in the drawing only more of a futuristic design. I'll have to sketch that one out for next post.

P.S. How do I add one 'o dem fancy 'avatars'? I got a pic for one, but I don't see how to add it. Pardon my cluelessness.

Make the player about to dunk Ryan Carlson and the punk about to be dunked on Garrett Dickinson. Yeah, then the idea really rocks! Great start. So how are you going to do the crowd? How about Q-tips? Our just call in all the employees from Carney and Integic that were laid off. That should make a nice size crowd. :p

I was occupied all last week so I was unable to work on this much until this weekend. Just finished redesigning the characters and started the model. First here's the sketch...

Now here is the model I've started. It is the same body that I started with in the beginning of this thread, but I cut off the legs and started over. Not going to ultra realism on the physique, I just want to finish a challenge for once. :) I think I've started to develop some ideas into the character that will let people start guessing as to what I have planned for the way this game is played. Criticism is welcome, of course.
