Hi, I'm struggling with a major problem lately, I have recently come into some money and have decided that I m going to treat myself to a tablet.

Now it is my first tablet, but I want to go all out, so that I dont have to worry about spending good money to be instantly obsolete.

I've decided that an Intuos3 would suit my needs, but cannot decide between the 6x8 or the 9x12.

I know that pretty much anyone would want the 9x12, but i'm thinking of practicality. It is huge, and i'm not sure I need it that big. I do however have the money for the 9x12, but which should I get?

I am using a 6x8 and perfectly happy with it but I am using only 1 monitor.

If you have ample desk space, and working with dual monitors (or in your horizon), then the 9x12 COULD be a viable choice.

Well I do only work with one monitor, and I dunno, at first I was gun-ho about the 9x12, but after seeing how big it actually was, I though to myself. "Wow, thats a whole lot of wasted space"

I dont think i'll be using really long large brush strokes.

I've been oogling the 12X18 drooool.. If I was still drafting I would have definetly bought it, well gave my right gonad then begged my employer to get it for me. Well then the whole office would have gotten it.

see 12x18 is MUCH MUCH MUCH too big.

I guess I'll have them both out in front of me before i can make my descision.
