View Full Version : Mental Ray standalone baked FG map issue?

Trying to render a pretty large image (Just over 8k). Its been crashing quite alot so ive been trying to simplify things. Ive saved out my Maya scene as an MI file, this rendered fine upto 5k, but anything over and it still crashed. Ive baked out my FG map and frozen my FG settings (so i dont have to recompute FG for the render). What ive been trying to do is save out ab FG map from a 4k render, and use it for my master 8k image.

When going through standalone, it seems to start recomputing the FG map, when it shouldn't. I know ive set things up right because if i set a render going inside thr Maya gui it works fine. Does Mental Ray standalone have a problem with using precomputed FG maps?
