What is Kids Week?
Kids week is an effort to get more kids interested in drawing.

This week we will post topics suitable and aimed to kids between 5 -13 years. The idea is that if you blokes know a kid who likes art, to encourage them to draw,
and post this week.

Also get them to give us their ideas for topics...

To keep things safe;

Kids should only post with the current account of an adult who has been posting with us for a while (parent or relative).

Otherwise it is business as usual...

I am sure we have great childrens book illustrators in our ranks.
Have fun. Post as usual, but remember your target audience.

-R

No kids, but I fancied a quick go anyway.

Painter, no idea of time taken, I was kinda dabbing at it while browsing forums.

Well, I hope this isn't too scary lookin for kids. But, as a kid, I knew that monsters in the closet was a very very serious subject, and none of them had cute little tentacles or buggy eyes. The worst one for me was the giant wolf. Not a werewolf, but he did walk on his hind legs and wear a big red down jacket.

On the bright side, this guy never ate me, or caused any (permanent) psychological damage.

edit: oh, i forgot. 1 hr in painter, and photoshop to adjust colors and stuff.

Apparently there are lots of monsters in my house ... I'm going to have to fumigate or something. On the left "monster in the closet" and on the right "monster under my bed".

Kirt, those are really inspiring draws, alot of nice ideas.
I've actually found it more fun to see the kids draws rather than the adults in these past threads. even if they might not be as well executed, they sure got alot of cool ideas in their heads.

First post: Have enjoyed luking here immensely the last few weeks. First attempt with a Wacom and Painter IX. Sadly, this simple sketch took a few hours while I figgured out the software and tried to get accustomed to drawing while watching the monitor. So much incredible work being done here.
THANY... your use of light is terrific.
Sir Saukund... that is an hillarious concept, beautifully done.
