When editing a material, I made an object partially transparent in the openGL. It renders fine. What did I do? I can't make it go back even when I delete all associated maps.

I am not too sure what your problem is.

From what I understood you applied a shader to part of an object but when you tried to undo it, it does not change back in your window, but when you render the scene, the object renders without that shader you just undid?

This is sometimes an OpenGL problem I have seen before, but the easiest way to fix is just select your object and assign it a new shader and reapply the other shaders as you need to it. If you delete the shader, your object will turn green to signal that you do not have any material assigned to it.

Again, I am not sure what your problem is. Maya is full of little display glitches, but its good to make sure that you take care of it so it doesn't pop up somewhere else when you want to output.

Good luck
