good image... i like the fact that u put your picture on the chrome ball..
I have a question, when you use hdri for lighting, do you make your own hdrimage or do you just download from the web? If you make one, how do you do it? Is there any tutorial about it?

A compelling image. Has a nice feeling about it. I like the grainy textures.
How did you put the reflection of yourself onto the ball?

gr8 image - very beautifull still
I like the different materials alot - you did a great job on those.
the "gummibaerlis" rock - the mate metal on the cutter as well as grip of it are very well done ... did you model the grip or use displacement
wires would be cool

Sieht spitze aus. Einzig die Spiegelung wirkt mir etwas unecht (einfallswinkel=ausfallswinkel), ansonsten perfekt!
Ow yeah. Great image. I did that 'reflection trick' also once. Chrome mapping plugin right or is that for 3ds max only? Anyway i like this piece very much.

Woohooooo! Man, THANKS!!!
Thanks for all those Comments!
So there were 1000000 of questions, let's go:
I have a question, when you use hdri for lighting, do you make your own hdrimage or do you just download from the web? If you make one, how do you do it? Is there any tutorial about it?
I used the Kitchen_Probe Hdri which everyone has. only 640x640!!
How did you put the reflection of yourself onto the ball?
That was very funny. I put my self in front of a mirror and shot a picure of me.
Than i made a Alphamap of me ad put both on a simple plane.
So i could be sure that the rest of the scene will reflect in the ball too.
did you model the grip or use displacement
modeled it.
Chrome mapping plugin right or is that for 3ds max only?
No, simple as it can be. No Color, only 100% reflection, an a little bit specular. Nothing more.
Is the picture part real and part 3d? If so which part is real and which is 3d :p (I know Im lame)
What a compliment! Thanks.
Thinks this image should answer your question.

The dust on the HPB-System is done with HairDepartment.
it reminds me a bit of the guy that was selling a chromeplated kettle on ebay and you could see him in the reflection too..... naked! :D
