View Full Version : Importing various 3rd party track data
c0nica 01-25-2005, 07:30 PM I'm trying to figure out how to bring in track data from various 3rd party software such as PFTrack or Matchmover. It seems like DF only wants to read LW .mot files or two other random types. Is there another way to bring in basic ASCII track paths? Does anyone use any 3rd party tracking software whose information they have been able to integrate into DF?

Hi conica,
Isaac from eyeon wrote a script for importing Boujou ASCII track data. http://tinyurl.com/7ybc6 it could be modified to suit your needs.
Fusion 5 will be able to import paths from 3D apps and trackers.

Yes I have that script although I'm not using boujou and PFTrack doesnt export to a boujou file. Funny though, it seems to output a large variety of formats such as .ma for After Effects, maya, Lightwave, 3dmax, and other various ascii types, yet I cant seem to find one that will import into DF. I dont understand why DF only allows for .mot imports.

Like I said, we'll have to wait for FU5 for that ;)
