Hi there,

If got a serious problem with my render globals.

I’ve got 7 cameras + front/top/side/pers.

Now I want to render a specific camera, all cameras are renderable so in the render global under the image file output > under camera I select the camera that must be rendered. Then I close de render global settings menu and start batch render. Then I see that Maya has picket another camera and not the one I selected. When opening render global again I see that Maya has picket again the first camera in list.

Why does Maya not render the camera I selected but picks the first in list?? When I render the current frame it works!!

My image format is Targa/ name.#.exe

Renderable objects: Render all

Yes I know I can rename the camera in A-B-etc but I want to know why can I not select just the camera I want and render it!!

Hope someone can help me

Thnx

this seems to be a pretty standard error in maya. my advice would be to create a batch file with camera overrides in it. this way you can render the same scene seven times with the different cameras.

good luck,

Select all your cameras (think it may have to be shape node) and open the attribute spreadsheet. In here (probably under render tab) you can set whether camera is renderable (also doable individually through the standard attribute editor but you can kill all birds this way..) So just highlight all the ones you dont want to render and enter 0 into the 'renderable' field and then you should only get output from your intended camera.

thnx!
I select the camera I would like to render and make this one Renderable, in the Atribute editor, and then start rendering and it works! so for the next camera scene I select the new camera and make that one renderable and unrender the other one! YYIIHHAAAAA

Muchas Gracias Muchachos!!
