View Full Version : Character: Captain Tony made with Nurbs
Brent 09-10-2002, 04:41 AM This is my first Character! I was interested in putting him online to get some input. Please tell me what you think. I would appreciate the criticism! His name is Captain Tony and he was built as a Nurbs patch model with no T-connections. He was a project for my class Computer Character Design. I finished him in two weeks. Thanks! www.hauser3d.com (http://www.hauser3d.com)

Great job man... love the sword and the detail in the coat. What else are you going to do with him? How long did it take for you to make it?? Really like the hair on the face. Nice textures....
Keep up the good work

Great Model! The textures might be spiced up a bit so the hair is not so shiny (diffusion maps perhaps) Especially on the mustache. And perhaps an aplpha map to blend this mustache to the skin. Also the Cheeks look very shiny.
Another matter is lighting which will hopefully help out a bit. The eyes almost seem to lack a pupil, hard to describe, bit they look very faded, with the top being lighter than the bottom when the opposite should be true.
Great work! Looking foward to animation?

That's outstanding. He looks fantastic. But then again, I love pirates. ;) Texture's look great, and so do the cloths. The only critic is that the hat looks a little to big. But again, it depends on what your going for. Great job though!

You are correct about the hair. I will tweak it some after I rig him. It is too shiny so I will deffinitly try what you said. I sounds like good advice thanks! I just put him on a turn table to give the picture some more depth. I hope this helps!

Modeling is my favorite part of the process. So I appreciate the comp!
