cyroz2000 01-24-2005, 05:42 PM Hi mates,
I hope someone could help on this one :
I got a mitosis animation to do, and I can't find a way to do it, I had good results with HV, and did some tests with morphs, but only with simple objects, my problem is the object must be the one in the image below...

You could easily use morphs through the prophase, metaphase and anaphase. Then I'd take the anaphase morph and flatten it out on one side, still retaining the structure of the flattened side of the cell in the flat side, and obviously retaining the structure on the non flat side.
Duplicate this to get both of your new cells and you should have a telophase that matches the anaphase. In fact you should even be able to morph between the two if you're quick enough with the animation. I think you can get away with that, but I'd have to do it to be sure. You can morph both back to the original shape and you have 2 separate cells.
I think that will work, but with that object you've got your work cut out! You might need some in between morphs to make it look right at some stages, but it depends on what quality you need for any final animation.
