View Full Version : architecture: residence
celticdog 01-24-2005, 10:14 AM looking for feedback on this, my first arch viz. Don't pay too much attention on the environment. I'll change it at some point.
thanks

A very nice model that works well, detailed on both the exterior and the interior. The texturing on the 'pyramid' roof of the main building looks a little odd very flat like felting perhaps its just the angle. I find the yellow stone pillars to be quite distracting perhaps a more traditional white/grey stone material might look nicer. The lighting obviously needs improving but I assume this will come with the final renders.

Yep, those pillars bug me too. I'll change em. Thanks for the critique!!

I really like the model here. Good job!
The only thing I noticed is the wooden texture on the tall window frame. It just seems as if the texture is too large but it might just be my eyes. Maybe a paler smaller map. :S but only maybe!
BTW I'm just starting to learn Max and am trying a scene but it seems like I have way to many faces. Any chance I could see a Wireframe view to gauge how badly wrong mine is...

Sure, here's a wireframe render. Don't know if it'll help though.
