If anyone is running Path Deformer on Windows 2000, can you sign in here to let me know - I can't get PD to load... (Cinema v8.5 - various version of PD up to 1.4.2...)

Many thanks,

Mike A.

Maybe you have placed the keyfile in the pluginfolder? It should be in the C4D program folder.

Maybe you have placed the keyfile in the pluginfolder? It should be in the C4D program folder.

A good thought - but I'm pretty sure it's in the correct place - in the same folder as C4D.exe

It's an odd problem: All my other plugins load and work fine. The earliest versions of PD (around 1.2) worked fine. I didn't install v1.3. I then installed 1.4 - which didn't work. I then couldn't get ANY version of PD to work :/ This was in December some time.
I was doing a major system overhaul over Christmas, so I had to re format my HD, re-install W2K and all my software - I did that and I still couldn't get PD to run.

Once C4D has loaded, a look in the console window lists PD as having loaded - but if a PD sample scene is opened I get the "...[Path deformer] plugin is missing..." dialog and the plugin icon in the object manager shows as the default 'brown question mark' that appears when a plugin can't be found.

So, I'm stumped.

I was wondering if it may be a 'W2k' related issue - hence this question to see if anyone else is running PD successfully under W2k

....all ideas greatfully received.

Hello Mike !

My PD 1.4 on win2K work fine!

Delete the entire dir from plugin folder and reinstall it !

After, put the key file into root folder where are the cinema executable program ! ;)

Hope that this help you !! :)

Guys,
Thanks for the response - now I know PD is OK on W2k I can narrow the issue down a bit. Maybe there's a set up issue on my system (permissions / acounts maybe?) that's causing the problem.

Renato - thanks, I'll be in touch. I realised you were away for a while.

Mike
