Is there a way to compute just the gi solution without rendering the frame.
I'm creating an animation with cinema 4d radiosity of about 650 frames. To prevent flickering I'm computing the gi solution every 10 frames and then using this saved prepass to render over a network.

I'm wasting time because the frames are also rendering after the prepass. I'm new to cinema but i use vray which can do this. Is there another way to calculate the gi without flickerer over a network render farm

please help. I've got a crazy deadline

Hey rendimage,
I don't know if your method will work for every tenth frame. you might just try a light dome for a quicky GI solution. Is not as good looking as an actual GI render but is still very quick and gives some very nice results in an much shorter period.
GI flickering is very common and can take a while to ( and many test renders) to perfect.

Of course tis all depends on the scene. if there are a lot of over hangs etc.

Good Luck
