I'm using Maya 4 on an SGI and installed the BevelPlus plugin recommended by dmcgrath. I copied the entire directory structure (bevelplus ds that is) into my scripts folder on my hard drive and loaded the plugin via the plug-in manager. When it tries to load I get an error:

Error: Cannont find procedure "bevelPlusDeleteUI".

Any thoughts on this one?

Thanks ya'll.

I havent seen this thread until now, but Im sorry I dont know what is missing. I can only recommend reinstalling everything and hopefully that will do the trick. You havent reposted on this thread so maybe you have fixed it. Lets hope so.

There's no installer app. You just decompress the file and 'poof' you're supposed to know where everything goes..... I haven't figured it out yet and since AW doesn't support the plugin I'm left to experiment.

I've been swamped this week, but when I get caught up next week I'll figure out the problem and repost the solution..

I think you place some files in the wrong script directory. I don't use Maya on SGI but on NT there is a user directory (usually My documents) and a programs directory ( usually where the main Maya files are installed). Both of this directories have a Maya folder and ech has a script folder. There are procedural scripts that are supposed be in the main programs dir.

Here's an example:

User dir:

c:\ Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\maya\4.0\scripts

Programs Dir:

c:\AW\Maya4.0\scripts

There's an equivalent of these directories in the irix system... just not that familiar though.

Wireframe hit it on the head. I've been on my SGI for six months now and realized that I didn't know the first thing about the os. I was putting my files (plugins, shaders, scripts) into my user subdirectories. When I moved everything into the root user folders (for Maya) POW! Everything started working.

Now I've got working plugins, a customized environment and I'm a lot more familiar with the SGI. It's a tough conversion after 7 years of the Mac OS. But I'm getting there.

Thanks for your help.
