I am putting blend shape corrections on my rigged character. I already have at least 20 done correctly. Now for some reason, when I add a new target to the existing node, the base will rise above the rig when I adjust the blend shape slider. The character doesn't explode/deform or anything, it just rises leaving the rig below it. I have gone back to older versions and can correctly put on blend shapes.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

The only thing that I can think of is that my foot control is effecting my ability to make new blend shapes. I've added controls between the initial B.S. I put on and the new ones I'm trying to put on.

Any insight would be appreciated. Talk in small words, I am new to this.

Thanks

Steve

So your saying that when you call on a perticular target (blend shape) the target then moves to a diferent location? Gradually as it goes form 0-1?

If thats what your saying, then check the pivot points for the target and the original. Make sure they both match. Also have you done anything like delete history or split the geo? Thats all I can thinck off righ the off the top of my head. If you could post a pick I could prob help you better.

First of all, thanks for responding.

To create a blend shape I do the following:

1. Duplicate the base shape to create a target
2. Use the channel control to unlock locked attributes
3. Move the new target off of the base so I can work with it.
4. Use Edit BS to add the new target to the existing node.
5. And so on....

You can see I've done it successfully several times.

Now for some reason, when I add a new target, it moves the base above the rig when I adjust the BS slider. I also just noticed that his ear deforms a little. Normally from here I move a joint, adjust the target shape, and make a set driven key.

So I don't know what gives. I'm thinking it's the........well actually I'm stumped.

Thanks,

Steve
