It was really good back in the day but they havent updated it in months. The tutorials that are there range from beginner to pro and alot of them are done in maya 3. So no offence to Gnomon(they make awsome DVDs) but its probobly a wast of money. If your new to Maya or a little skilled try going to DigitalTutors.com instead. They have tons of free tutorials and they always update with new stuff.

Thats a pitty. I was thinking their online stuff would be as amazing as their DVDs. but to have stuff done in maya3! come on! who are they kidding! plus it would have been a great way for beginners to learn the package online .

Anyone out there have a happy story about this online thing? did it help anyone?

Just watch the free videos, they are imho really cool.
And it makes no difference, if they use maya 3, since the workflows havent really change.
As far as i know, you can watch all the videos in a month and then quit membership.
I think thats a good deal...

I was a subscriber for awhile. The content is very good, and quite helpful, pretty much the on-line version of their DVD's.

However at $49 a month it's way too expensive. I was on it for 6 months and they only updated two tutorials. I'd agree with the above statement... if you can get in and out in a a month it's a good deal. If you're expecting regular updates it's not.

It's important to keep in mind that all of the video is streaming...you can't save them to your HD. For $20 more you could buy one of their DVDs.

while waiting the movie html window
press CTRL+N
then close old one
and in Internet explorer goto View->Source
and there is link to download the mov files.

No they arent ... gnomon will teach you more .... digital tutors is for beginers only.
