love to see angels being created :-)
i think the muscles by his shoulder looks too defined, too extreme. afaik even superheroes have more smooth shoulders. and his head looks too small but this im not so sure about, might be a trick of the mind due to his emmense strength :)
theres something wrong with the neck allso, but it seems u have fixed it with the shadows. try and post a pic where we can see the shads on the linework, it easier to see the form of the figure then..
and a minor thing, the things in the floor, which the chains are attatched to, they have too much perspective on them. (unless hes like 1 mill km. high :p )
but overall it looks promising. keep us updated

I would think an angel would take a lot more than chains to bind it. Of course, its all symbolism im sure, but realistically, i would think it would take a host of demons and then some to bind an angel.
Acutally, perhaps the only thing that can bind an angel is that which is above him, or himself.

Goliath: well..about the muscles...its a personal style that i've been tryin to develop off late...exaggerated anatomy...u'll see similar "blown out of proportion" muscle structures in quite a few of my recent works...
the 2nd lolink works now so u can see the basic outline.....and the sketch is very very old(it isnt 2003) so there are a lot of mistake in it :banghead: which i wont be repeatin in the painting:)
Ognus: when i made that sketch i wasnt thinkin of this...but i do agree with u totally now.....thats the reason i havent done the chains yet in the painting....probably gonna have somoethin like magical bands or liinks that form a chain to hold him down....still workin on it...thanks:)
heres a small update ....just fixed the pose to make it a little more dynamic and assymetrcal
