View Full Version : Rendering passes
zapcat 01-20-2005, 06:24 PM I currently render my models in one pass and just really accept the results with a little post production in photoshop. I would like to learn more about render passes (how many to do and what they effect) and which software to use to composite them back together. I currently use Max, Vray, & photoshop.
Can anyone point me at a tutorial which will cover this?

Jeremy Birn has written a great introduction to multipass rendering, quite a while ago by now, but still perfectly educational, available here -> http://www.3drender.com/jbirn/ea/Ant.html
Oh, and this one too -> http://www.3drender.com/light/compositing/index.html using the "traditional" layer terminology and everything
