Hi again

When I import my rig into max (5.1) I am warned that my fbx-file does not contain a "bind pose" so I will have no base to adjust skinning and so on.
It is expressed in such a way that I get the idea that I should be able to include this info in the fbx when saving in MB. So ,I wonder if this is true, that I can include bind pose info in MB when saving? And if so... can anyone tell me how to do it? ;)

Also another question. In max, Is there a way to merge animation only from an fbx file onto my previously imported rig, like I can do in Lightwave with the "merge from fbx" function?

Thanks!

Never had the bind pose warning before and haven't been able to imp/exp such info from max to mb or back.

As for merging animation, specify 'animation only' when importing the fbx (in max) and you're done!

Thank you mg

Great to see there are some people in this forum after all ;)

Yeah, I noticed that the lack of bindpose doesn´t really matter since the skinning works just fine anyway. I´ll just have to live with the warning message :)
And to merge the animation only works fine obviously. (I actually found that out recently after posting, but thanks for helping out anyway)

This warning is little odd to me as well. I tried to find some info about this, but failed :(
It seems that, it has no influence on skin deformation.

In import file dialog is exclusive merge- this is what You need.
