you can edit your own post.
at the right bottom of each post you see the "edit" buton here you can edit your threath ( first post of the threath) so you can chance the subject ( also name of the threath ) and keep te same message in the threath. this way you won't need to have 2 threaths in the challenge.
and you can delete your old threath if no one has posted in it (I think).

No He hasn't got a double stomach but that is definitely part of the body that needs to be fine tuned for this sport.:rolleyes:

A little progress. I have pretty much finished with the head and have the body in first draft. I am poly modeling in Maya 4 BTW:p
PS. that darned ear needs more work..gaaaahhhhhhhh!:D

Thanks for the encouragement OZ and Virtuoso! I am going to do the stadium and equipment next, then tie up all the loose ends! I have also cooked up a script for an animation. If I ever get the time to do anything about it!! Still off site until Friday :annoyed:

how about streamlining the butt pack? it look too luggy and would increase air drag. try shifting some of its mass upward to decrease bulk.

about the helmet, try to have some design connectin with the butt pack

I will do some more work on the helmet, I dont really like it much but the jetpack is designed for a short, sharp burst of power not sustained flight, lifting ability is paramount so streamlining doesn't really come into the equation.

Hi All
Humph!! I didn't get to finish off my x-sport, darn! Anyways, for those who are interested, here's what the sport was all about.
The character wearing the butt mounted jetpack was also to have a parachute.......never got to that....... and he was to be placed in a purpose built stadium (partially completed) The sport was a combination of vertical flight and last minute parachuting from free fall. The novelty was also in the propulsion system. The butt mounted jet pack was to be fuelled with a combination of liquid oxygen and........drum roll.............FARTS!!! yep that's it! The competitor had to work up a really enormous blurt to mix with the lOx and then mix, ignite and blastoff!! The stadium equipment would measure the height of the attempt and judges would award points for the initial fart, the flight and the freefall and chute work. All very simple. As I said, I have worked on a rough script and am beginning the storyboards for an anim. He will not die..........yet
