Hi Folks,

I'm trying something that may or may not be new - creating saslite guides with Splinerater/CurvetoPolyChain, then applying MD settings. So far, I'm having trouble maintaining the structure of the guides - they tend to break apart into particles, and a 0% srtetch limit slows the calculations almost to a hanging state.

It's easier to do this with texture-mapped polygons (flat hair polys) possibly because there's a structure for MD to grab onto.
Any ideas, or someone hankerin' for a challenge?

In the most recent issue of keyframe magazine they have a tutorial for the exact thing you want to accomplish. They even tell you how to set up for collisions with the face. It's sounds like you might have already seen that tut...

Anyway, pick up the mag!
