I just bought the newest Digital Production magazine today ( http://www.digitalproduction.com ) and theres a review about Modo inside.
They also say in that review that luxology also developes a rendering and an animation module, so is there any more detailed information available to this? Will luxology eventually build a complete package like Softimage|XSI or Cinema 4D? What can we expect in future?
