Lookin pretty co0L...the hand mechanics and the sketch look reminds me of Mean Machine from Judge Dredd.

I was thinking the same thing hell. My eye for organic modelling is either short-sighted, or covered in cataracts. :surprised

And that sketch is fantastic.

Hmm, well, so far, so good, but...I don't know...I mean with the mask and the saws instead of hands...is it extreme enough? :p

j/k! More, More!!! :bounce:

hellrender, drunkenmaster: there is no shortcut to organic modeling, the only way to learn it is to do it as much as possible. every time i model critters i learn some new technique or rule out an old one. the biggest tip i can give is to use refernce material as much as possible.

pearson: only one of his hands is a saw, he has to be able to carry the "ball" somehow. :)

had an hour to get some more done so heres an update.of course its still very rough..

the jonas: theribs are commng along pretty well. that pic was taken of the smoothed mesh, so for now its detail will be some what lower. i wanted to make sure the geometry would align itself well for final rib placement later on.

roughed out the saw today. have to beat it up quite a bit on th e modeling side still.

I think the sport this kit is designed for would make "extreme" an understatement!!
I'm scared:surprised
Beautiful work too BTW
Cheers:)

I like the arm mod very much, I think this is gonna be cool, but I still can't work out what it's going to be. (other than dangerous) :)

i'm glad you guys like it so far. your comments are always a great motivation for me to push myself.

drewzer: when i model humanoids i keep reference images at hand, and model over a dummy for quicker placement of key verts.
i also keep Hogarth's Dynamic Anatomy at my desk (usually laying open infront of my keyboard) as a reminder.

drunken, benno: the sport is a pretty basic melding of a modern sport and an ancient "game" with some hightech elements thrown in.

A great look. I guess the man-machine fusion came about from them continuously losing limbs during other games?:D

That arm still awes me. A really nice look indeed.
