View Full Version : Captain HSBC
Remember my rather odd captain HSBC concept. I finally got round to finishing him off. I know there are many problems with his anatomy and mistakes with the lighting etc. But I am pretty much done with him now I think. And I just wanna show him off now.

I just noticed that I got the logo on his shield is wrong... bugger!
Anyway when he is totally finished he is gonna have a swipe type thing and then big WAM BAP! As he is advertising WAM BAP! He will also be saying "lets see some action!" Due to it being motivational advertising for the program they are working on right now (wam bap)

as you said there are little anatomy probs, but it doesn't look bad at all.
The first thing that shocked me was that the skin of the head is uniform, no lightning there... weird.
And the left leg position is a little weird too. There are other little problems, but importants.
But I like the style and all. continue posting !

Well done on the "proportion" of the left leg, it looks much better now.
However, the ONLY muscles which look even partially correct is the Pectoral and the stomach. Every other muscle however looks completely wrong. The legs look like you thought you knew what muscles go where, but it turned out you in fact did not. It appears that he has no bicep, and no horse shoe muscle either. It seams like you just created a whole bunch of muscles out of thin air and threw them on your character. Apart from ALL of the muscles being wrong, you seam to have really good proportions, and a good artistic eye. But you MUST learn your muscle structure. Everyone at your work may like it, but from an Art point of view, it is very wrong.
But keep up with it, and all will be well with your Art.

Maybe this is just me, but isn't he essentially a ripoff of Captain America?
thanks on the muscle thing. I am trying to rethink it but find it hard as I have never done anatomy at school (I should start next year at college) I don't actually work at HSBC I am doing it for my fathers office. Yeah i'm only 18.
As for it being a rip off of captain america taht is what was wanted... that was the whole point.
