you have a decent enough mesh
but if you're trying to closely follow the concept art, it could use a lot of improvement.
the eyes you made need to be narrower, and farther out, and the arms and legs thinner, the hands larger, and things like that...it looks like you're trying to make a normally proportioned person from this peice.
can't wait to see it turn out tho!

I for some reason found it hard to follow the concept art. I think its because I've been trying to keep to normal human proportions and I dont feel comfortable deliberatly creating something out of proportion if you get me heh, all in good time i guess though.
I started texturing it, just very simple, its more colours really..progress shots below!

the unwrap isnt as good as it could be, its painted at 512x512 but it could probably be sized down to 256 without any problems as its very simple..
Unwrap & Texture: (I overlayed the unwrap so it can be seen)

I know theres not much to comment on its pretty basic, but im starting a new model this week
Peace out!

This is a really good start. I dont see any problems with the body, but the face is really bugging me. It doesnt look like the reference images, and it is like she is screaming or in shock or something.. Anways post some wires so we can critique the actual modelling.

hay dude themodel is pretty cool so far but i think you are keeping the eyes to proportionate to the head, when most anime has large eyes, smal nose and mouth, keep working on it dude, i think your on to something,
take a look at this model by ANDY-H , he got it pretty right if you ask me
