The best such tutorial I've seen so far. I suck at writing tutorials, this one makes it seem easy.

man, I hate when tutorials are broken up into seperate pages, makes it hard to save the entire page and refer to it offline. any chance of a pdf version?

Yes, that was a very well-done tutorial. Wish I'd seen it earlier, in fact. Love all the details on getting everything right.

hey thanks guys. And thank you Stephen for some great tutorials that taught me a lot about this stuff! Hope you didn't mind me linking to one of them as part of my own tut.
Glad it was of some use! Let me know If you think there's anything that could be improved. These things are always a bit of a work in progress. I hope to do more.
Ive allready had many replies from folks about picking out n-sided polys in Maya. Basically:

"here we go... select all face > edit polygons > selection > selection constraints > under constrain chose "all and next" under properties go to order and chose tri quad or ngon and maya make the selection :)".

Thanks to Stephan Wagemann for that. Amazing what you find out about a piece of software that you've used for years!

Thanks again Stryker for hosting!
