Hello, all, I wonder if you could help me on this one.

I have a character about to be rigged and I modelled a piece of clothing for it that I want to use Simcloth on to simulate the fabric more realistically.

This character is for an animation.

Now CS specifically says that Physique HAS to be on top of the modifier stack (the place I wanted to put Simclothmod on, since the cloth simulation should be the last thing to be calculated).

So, is it possible to put the Simcloth modifier on top of the Physique modifier?

Thanks.

your cloth objects would not need to have a physique on them and i cant think of any reason why it would matter where the sim cloth mod was in the stack on your physiqued mesh as you d use it as a deflector......if it dont work try putting the sim cloth mod on top it wont make your machine explode....:)

Actually, I only asked first, BEFORE I tried it because I wasn´t sure if my machine wouldn´texplde ;) .
J/K

The cloth obviously won´t have physique applied to it, only simclothmod, but I´m pretty sure that in the model, the simcloth modifier HAS to be on top;

after all, in an animation, the machine has to calculate the movement of the character first (CS) and only afterwards, how a piece of cloth interacts with it (Simcloth).

Oh, well, I´m gonna try it anyway. The worst thing that can happen is the PC giving me the BSD, but since I have a nice selection of Soul Calivur girls in my desktop´s wallpaper....

Physique doesn't have to be at the top of the stack, but simcloth does. If you put anything above SimClothMod on either the cloth objects or the deflector it will crash during calculation (or at best just won't calculate properly).

Now CS specifically says that Physique HAS to be on top of the modifier stack

Where does CS say that? I think you have miss-read or miss-understood.
