View Full Version : Can anyone donate a starfield?
Edalgo Alvarez 01-16-2005, 04:23 AM Hey guys, I'm really excited about Lightwave 8 and I'd like to get started on some space renders, but I need the most important part of the scene: The Stars! I've checked out Betterspace and in order to make their starfield I need a file called Actual Stars. I've looked all over lightwave 8 and I can't seem to find that file. I'm hoping that someone could donate an already existing starfield that they have lying around, I would greatly appreciate it :).

Do you need specific constellations, or are you just wanting generic stars? If you just generic stars, you can use the Star Sphere tool found in the Create>Primitives>More pop-up menu.
Cheers,

Hey Steve, I just checked out the Star Sphere tool and it looks like that should do what I want. Are there any tutorials on how to better use this tool? Thanks!

Hey Elgado,
I don't think I've ever seen a tutorial on the use of the Star Sphere tool, but the online help system does do a good job of describing what it does.
Hope that helps!
