This looks like a good start on a head model, the mesh appears to be well laid out but it would be easier to judge with an image of the cage and not just the resultant mesh. The only thing I would point out at the moment is that, to me, the top of the skull looks slightly too large for the character from the front view.

It's an excellent model. Congrats! Without seeing your brother's picture, I can only assume it looks like him. But it's very believable so far.

@ mikacetro: thank you very much ! :) i used xsi 4.2 for the modeling. u can find the requested wireframe at the right end of the image above ;)
@ frank dodd: thanks ! the upper head - well, the size belongs to my brothers proportions...
heres the wireframe without subd:

@ jtalbotski: thank you ! i really wanna show some pics of my brother, but he doesnt want that i share pictures of him on the internet (especially the reference-pics because these photographs are so bad in his opinion). i endeavor to pursuade him to allow me putting those pics on the web :)

Hi,
this is my first post on CGtalk. Till this day I only read in this forum, but this time I couldnt resist.
I think your model is awesome! Its very light but still shows nearly all facial (and subtile) features... Someone said that "Modeling Is As Good As It Follows The Form", your model does this so well - congratulations.
So now, do the body or start texturing, to make this boy even more lifelike :)

Good stuff !
I see the mouth is not a full actual loop like most tutorials teach...
The self portrait i currently have doesn't have it either, but yesterday I tried to modify it into a full loop and the result looked less good than the non loop. Maybe i should try harder to get it right though.
Anyway, you're brother's model looks good. I suggest adding eyeballs soon

great head
not sure if the topology will work if you plan to do blend shapes. curious to see.
are you going to model the body?
looking forward to see more
