It has been so very long since I have actually posted any work because I have been so busy with other things.

Well, I have done these images for my job, let me know what you think of them.

They are all made with Blender's rendering system.

This is also a test of the web server that I just set up on my PC, so let me know about any preformace issues.

oh, you could read the screen on our other option, which was to turn it on, place it on a flatbead, then scan it, cut out the borders.

CG was actually easier to do than taking pictures :D

The seams are thanks to a little bit of subdivision surface pinching.

Thanks for the comments

your the area around your buttons is all messed up, not to mention that the enitre thing looks overly blobish... aside from the mats being not finished...

Take a good look at a Palm V, which is what this was modeled after). A lot of the Palm models look kinda blobish. Have you see the 100 series?

The material is actually very close to the real thing. There is a lot of light on this model, which has washed out the material a little bit. It was necessary to get the proper background. If you shine a bright light on a real Palm V, it reflects the light, turning the sliver tinge into a white one.

It was good enough for my employer to use on 68 tutorial pages.

well, here's what i meant:

http://www.bolteon.net/misc/palm-compare.jpg

those bumbs don't belong there... and your lacking some overhangs above the buttons... the mat isn't really even close except in color value... you've got nothing to reflecting there... not to mention no blurryness.

and look at your corners of display... much more rounded then the real one, that's what i meant by blobish look.

you asked for crits, i'm just giving them.

ahh, better. Now I see what you mean. Thanks!

It was a rough model, it didn't need to be exact, oh well. Stuff happens when you don't have much time.
