I'm haveing problems getting a surface to trim with a curve on the surface. I've already trimmed the surface once in a different section. Any guesses as to why it won't trim for me. I choose trim tool, choose the section I want to keep hit enter and nothing happens, however its not giving me any error either. What am I missing?

Is the new curve on surface a "good" curve for trimming (i.e. closed and not self-intersecting)?

Have you tried performing the trims in the opposite order, to see if the second trim works if you don't do the other trim first?

Ok now it's really being goofy. First of all, yes my curve is closed an no it's not self intersecting. When I try reversing the order of the trims I did "second" trim" didn't work, in fact it made my whole surface some kind of black screwed up surface. I have no idea what its doing.

:) Hi ! After your first trim operation . Select each object individually A) Surface B) Curve and choose Edit> Delete by Type > History. Then perform your second Trim Operation . This works for me when the trim tool dos not respond or produces bad results. Hope it helps . Cheers
