Fast Growing, Premium Animation Studio



Plastic Wax is an animation studio based in Sydney Australia, specializing in character animation for games, TV and film. Growth over the past 18 months has been significant, and fuelled by high profile projects and an increasing client base we are actively seeking new talent to be part of this new and exciting phase of the company’s development. We will be hiring a core team of very talented, energetic and dedicated artists, and also have short term contracts available. We require an immediate start, with much work flowing into mid 2005, and many more exciting projects coming online in Feb-March. We are looking to recruit people with some, or all of the following experience:



Senior Maya Artist


Minimum 4 years experience
Must be skilled in animation, modeling & texturing
Experience in dynamics, effects & lighting
An knowledge of mental ray will be an advantage
Ability to work efficiently with like-minded artists to trouble shoot creative and technical challenges.
A knowledge of motion capture implementation and scripting would be an advantage


Senior After Effects Compositor


Minimum 4 years experience in TV/Games/Film
An understanding of 3D concepts and workflows.
Ability to co-ordinate with the 3D department and work to tight deadlines
Ability to develop high quality grading and finishing techniques
Experience in high-end effects work
Ability to independently solve composting challenges and be responsible for final output.
Be able to use extensive post effects to turn average shots into high quality visuals.
