In this role you are responsible for the planning, integration and supervision of our Adelaide office's VFX pipeline, focusing on photo real CG characters. This senior role requires you to possess a mastery of technical, creative and management skills.
To get the job done you must be able to demonstrate experience in:
On set supervision of the shooting of material for work being done by Rising Sun Pictures.
Design, development and implementation of the pipeline for producing VFX shots.
Identifying, mentoring and inspiring talented VFX artists.
Talking directly to a film’s VFX Supervisor and managing teams of artists at RSP to deliver their vision.
Working with VFX Producers to bid, pitch, win and deliver contracts.
Required Knowledge:
Extremely strong knowledge of the VFX process
Very strong knowledge of on set processes
VFX pipeline design and development
Film technology and work flow
A good understanding of the software development process
Classical artistic training (drawing, painting etc)
Required Skills:
Extremely strong skills in either animation, lighting or compositing
Highly developed on set supervision skills
Excellent client and artist communication skills
Strong conceptual and concept development skills (ability to take something from a written brief to a visual reference for an artist)
Very strong problem solving skills
Required Abilities:
Empathy for others around you
Clear and concise communication
Very good at motivating people
Technically confident
