Hi long time lurker fist time caller.
i was wondering if anyon on the boards had any ideas on how to rig up a springy arm in 3dsmax 7
i am animating a characrer that had springs that join the hands to the body. the hands are linke to a couple of bones and what o currently have working at the moment is a spline that si linkes to the bones using linked x forms and then there is a spring which is defomred using pathd deformer WSM.
for the elbows this works great. the mesh deforms really well but when i put the characters arm down by its side, the mesh distorts badly.
i have tried using a dynamic spring but without much lick and spline controlers still suffer from the same problem
any ideas?
