How do I do them? :)

I want to learn how to make my own complex shaders but I have yet to find a good tut on it. I have a book on Maya but it didn't cover shader networks. I've been fiddling and I'll continue to fiddle but it would be nice to have a simple reference.

Thank you for your time :)

there a couple of tutes out there that address building shader networks directly ...tho im afraid i dont have any pointers...but the docs are good...but you'll probably learn most by dl some of the ahders from highend3d and dissect them. ahh, check out www.pixho.com, he has some nice tutes, but they might not be what your looking for. gluck!

to me, the best way is downloads some shaders from highend3d.com which u find interesting. load it up in to maya and try to figure out how does the paremeter and network connections of shader going on.
u can learn much faster by analyzing the shader by urself rather than from documents. most of the time we can't learn shaders just based on theories. trust ur eyes~~!
Cheers~! :arteest:
