View Full Version : See Through
Xilica 09-06-2002, 11:31 PM Hey everyone,
How would I make a box see through so that if I rendered it, you could see right through it so it isn't basically transparent. However, I want it to be able to see the edges on each side.
Thanks.

Here is a logo my friend made in c4d. I just wsant to imitate the transparent effect in cubes. Don't know if it is called glass

when you're doing the materials, just lower the opacity. but there's probably more to it than that.

I lowered the opacity. I don't get the same effect my friend did like where you can see the outside border. Would this have anything to do with opening it up in photoshop and then messing with it?

can't see the pic cause you need to be registered.
have a look at falloff (in & out) in the extended parameters rollout in the material editor. or use a falloff map in the opacity slot(max4 and above I think).

looks to me like it's got another cube inside it with the same texture(transparency). then a glow on top (either max or photoshoped)
