this really stinks, but I am new to painter, new to CGtalk, new to actually being an artist, new to colors (i would just draw with your typical B pencil before) and drawing with a mouse is really really hard. I apologize. if you can't tell, a guy just jumped off a cliff. crazy person he is.

well here the image AND....the wpe ^^ for the interested people. There is load of bullshit and crap on the wpe, I had to try brushes, that is all the doodle at the beginning of the file. I ran out of time. Maybe someone would like to finish it?

Yes! My topic suggestion got chosen! Is it OK? Here's my contribution. Unfortunately when I finished my drawing I saw that - well, I can't remember who did it - but the bear one accomplished what I was trying for with actual color, so mine is a bit reduntant now. I did it in about an hour and a half with a pencil and blending stump, then spent maybe 49 seconds playing with the levels in Photoshop after scanning it. By the way, I don't mean to be consistently posting non-CG sketches (Is that allowed?); I just never have time to color them.

Aw man, the attachment thing is busted today.
And I was so excited about contributing two days in a row.

Fantastic - I love the suggestion. And yes, non-CG is fine. I've noticed CGtalk encourages all mediums, computer-related or not.
EDIT: Hey! Attachments are working today! I'll add mine now:
It was Open Canvas (my first time, those event files are sooo coool! Especially when they're your own) and I think it was about 50 mins.

Wow Vitriolic! Are you using custom brushes or something? You need to do a tutorial for that, it's great.

BouncingSheep: I did this one using a default brush (Oil Pastel Large) with opacity control set to pen pressure. I'm not really very clued up on brushes in general, but that one seems to have a nice texture to it.

Hey Paul, check the 'show your technique' thread, you can post your sketches there in artpad as often as you want. I even tried it once, you can see it there and some more sketches by others too.
