I'm trying to do a camera match of an airport runway scene. I've never done such a thing before, so this entire process is new to me. I didn't take the photo, so I don't know the specs about the lens or any of the realworld distances. What I do know are the actual dimensions of the runway itself. All four corners of it are visible in the image.
I create camera points at the four corners of the runway and assign them the realworld coords. Then I create a fifth point elsewhere in the scene and estimate its location relative to the runway. I choose the top of a control tower, for example, to offer the Z height.
But after I place the reference points and try to create the cam, I get a error that says Max was unable to invert the matrix.
It would seem to me that matching a photo of a runway should be a pretty easy thing to do, given its easy geometry. I have tried to read through a few tutorials on this, but they each skip right past the point that's giving me trouble as if it should be a no-brainer.
Any ideas?
