For such a simple image, lots of thought went into this. I hope you find it as peacefull to look at as I found it to create.

nice rendeing!
i like the colour and composition too.
but somehow i dont find it 'peaceful'....
if u don't mind me saying so...
might be because of too much wiring behind 'Om' which makes it a bit disturbing...smoother surfaces would have been more 'peaceful' according to me.(don't know, all those detailing might be important for the context u might have thought of)
keep up the good work.

I love it! Great idea and wonderful composition. I don't really find it peacfull. Actually, I find it a little creepy/scary. I think it is jsut a little too Sci-Fi to be peacfull.

While this is a really well done picture, I agree with the others that it just doesnt seem to give the idea of being "peacefull".
The white light and the silhouette of the figure make me feel quite tense and expectant, I'm axious to find out what's about to happen in the scene. There's too much of an element of suspence for me to feel peacefull looking at it.
Mind you, I still like the picture itself a lot, it feels very matrix-esque.

I like it a lot, maybe you find it peacefull because the composition is very equilibrated. The only thing I would improve is the big shape on the right, it could have more details and create a bigger contrast with the inviroment.

Excelent work! I like the environment you have created - very good sci-fi indeed.
About the "peace"... I'm no expert in zen or psychology but the image seems a little too mechanical (especialy that big shape on the right) to really feel that peaceful atmosphere... it's shape reminds me a little of the big alien tower from Half-Life 2 and maybe that adds to that effect too... Your image looks great though even without the peaceful feeling - keep up the good work!

I see how you created a rock there with some 'sidewalk' that goes to it. Perhaps you should add sand to that walkway, and round off the corners in the panels on the walls.
Pipes in general can be creepy, instead if they were vines that would be a little more zen.
The rendering is great though, I love the reflection blur, very realistic.

I think it's a fantastic "Fantastic environment". A good idea and a wonderful lighting!
Good Art!

Hey everyone! Thanks for the feedback thus far. Its interesting to me how most everyone finds this image creepy (or at least "not peaceful"). Maybe its because I knew what I was thinking while making this piece, but it didn't come across the way I thought it would.
My intention was to create a comfortable/peaceful environment (a zen garden), that was given a futuristic interpretation. The lines created by the panels on the floor and the path were meant to mimic the patterns in the sand of a current day zen garden. The rock is a little bit more obvious part of the zen garden theme. The pipes were actually supposed to loosely mimic the splashing of a waterfall, and the figure wreathed in light is a symbol for enlightenment.
again...Thanks everyone for viewing and for your feedback.

Doesn’t quite make me feel Zen (but just because that’s the titles, doesn’t mean that’s what your going for). The sharp lighting on the person takes away the Zen feeling, but the thing as a whole is awesome. Honestly, I cant stop looking at it. Great job. I would like to see a version (just for fun) where the guys is meditating between the rock and the big thing in the middle, with a soft light going down on the emblem on the wall in the middle, and coming up from around the rock thing to the left. that would be very peaceful I think. But till then, I hope you don’t mind, this is now my background image of my desktop^^.
